Old Sun Community College is an official Alberta Education Diploma Exam Writing Centre.

Exams are held in January and June.

Students taking diploma-level courses must register for their diploma exams by Alberta Education’s deadlines.

Mature students (19+ as of Sept 1st of the current school year, or holding a high school diploma) can write diploma exams without taking the course. These exams are available in November, April, or August at approved locations like SAIT, and count for 30% of the final course mark.

The GED is no longer available in Canada as of May 3, 2024.
